Pattyn is worn out on the Mormon way of life and revolutionaries against her family and the standards of her home and church. Her dad invests the majority of the energy alcoholic and furious and her mom has an entire family to deal with. After Pattyn gets in a battle and breaks a window, her family has had enough of her revolting so they send her to live with her Aunt, out in the center of no place, for the mid year, so she can no longer get in a tough situation. For reasons unknown, she has some good times on her stay with her auntie, she figures out how to drive and ride a pony, and meets the affection for her life. She began to look all starry eyed at Ethan, the child of her auntââ¬â¢s companion. He isn't Mormon and her dad would slaughter the them two on the off chance that they were together. In the wake of getting back things begin to turn sour once more. She mouths off to her dad and gets beaten. She pays the piper for something her sister does, and gets beaten to spare her sister. She additionally discovers that she will have Ethanââ¬â¢s child. Like all of Hopkins books, Burned likewise has a heartbreaking completion. Ethan and Pattyn get in an auto wreck and she awakens in the medical clinic to discover that she lost Ethan and her infant.
